Public Workshops

A series of three public workshops will be held to gather public comment and familiarize potential grantees with the application process:

  • The first of these workshops will be held at the Shasta County Administrative Building in Redding on Monday, November 5, 2018, 1:00-3:00 p.m.
  • The second public workshop will be located at the Tulare County Board of Supervisors Building in Visalia on Thursday, November 8, 2018, 12:30-2:30 p.m.
  • The third and final workshop will be held at the SNC Headquarters in Auburn on Friday, November 9, 2018, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

WEBCAST

In addition to providing for in-person participation, the Auburn workshop on November 9 will also be webcast. Pre-registration will be required to participate in the live webcast which will be recorded and subsequently posted to the SNC website. Instructions for registration will be posted at a later date.

Eligible Applicants

  • Public agencies: Any city, county, special district, joint powers authority, state agency, or federal agency
  • Qualifying 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations: “Nonprofit Organization" means a private, nonprofit organization that qualifies for exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of Title 26 of the United States Code, and whose charitable purposes are consistent with the purposes of the SNC.
  • Eligible Tribal Entities: An Indian tribe, band, nation, or other organized group or community, or a tribal agency authorized by a tribe, which is one or both of the following: (1) Recognized by the United States and identified within the most current Federal Register; (2) Listed on the contact list maintained by the Native American Heritage Commission as a California Native American tribe.

Note: SNC's governing statute does not allow grants to mutual water companies.
