  • The Sierra Nevada Conservancy has unveiled our new Web site!  We are pleased with what we believe is an enhanced and more user friendly format.  As often occurs, we expect there will be a few bugs to work out.  For example, our web site is best viewed using Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7 (other browsers such as Firefox II will likely experience difficulties). If you are having difficulty with any of our links or accessing information, please let us know. Thank you.
  • On June 5th, The Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC) governing board voted to authorize $2.9 million in funding for 25 projects aimed at improving the environmental and economic well-being of the Sierra Nevada region. Authorized grants will fund watershed, restoration, fire risk reduction, habitat and natural resource protection and project planning and education projects. The Board’s action brings the total funds awarded this fiscal year to nearly $17 million for 146 projects.
